Small 5 page websites can take around 7 days and up to 1 month to build when you include SEO but much larger site can take anything up to 6 months. Typically the initial website design does not actually take very long for the home page... Once this page is complete it will be used as a template for all other pages. However, website content and configuration in line with integrated workflows is where the time is usually spend. Its the stuff nobody sees but is curtail to the websites performance and functionality.
